The author
Jézabel Couppey-Soubeyran is a professor at PSE – Paris School of Economics and Senior Lecturer at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. A specialist in monetary and financial economics, she has written several books on economics for the general public, notably Economy is a game (Librio, 2008), Finance is a game … dangerous with G. Capelle-Blancard (Librio ), Blablabanque. The Discourse on Inaction (Michalon), The Economy for All with M. Rubinstein (La Découverte, 2014, Lycéen Reading Economy Prize), and Parlons Banque en 30 questions with C. Nijdam (La Documentation française). She has also worked as a scientific and editorial advisor at the Encyclopaedia Universalis (2000-2008), at the Economic Analysis Council (2009-2015) and at CEPII (2015-2020). Since September 2020, she has joined the Veblen Institute as a scientific advisor to contribute with them to the development and promotion of monetary and financial reforms that would make it possible to advance the ecological transition.
