Call for applications – 4th-year funding

The Labor Chair (Chaire Travail) is a research program hosted at the Paris School of Economics (PSE), created in partnership with two directorates of the French Labour ministry (DARES and DGEFP) as well as with Pôle emploi, l’Unédic and the Mairie de Paris. The program aims to attract the best PhD candidates in labour economics. The research program focuses on employment dynamics, wages and unemployment. More about this Chair.

The Chaire Travail offers possible funding for two fourth year Phd students for the academic year 2021-2022. The gross monthly salary is about 1900 EUR.

Selected fourth year students will have a privileged access to the databases of the Chaire’s partners: French Labour Ministry, Pôle emploi and Unedic.
Based on PSE Campus in Paris, selected students will also be integrated into PSE research community and participate in the events and seminars organized by the Chaire.

Application

The candidates must submit their CV, the summary of their PhD, a paper or a working paper, the summary of their project (in 2 pages), a letter of their supervisor and up to two references letters.

The short listed candidates will be invited to present their research projects at PSE, in May 2021 (the interview could possibly be done by videoconference). The final selection will be held by a scientific committee of the Chaire
